What do our Customers saying about us?

  • Food was great, reasonably priced. Friendly and fast service. I was not fond of the table we sat at. The bench was way too high for the table. - 28 May 2014

  • Or 3 lbs per person. Crazy as no one can eat that much. Or at least not me. I did try though Lots of flavours. Cheap jugs of beer. Sports tv. - 10 January 2013

  • I have been there twice now and have had good service and good food. Perogies are especially good. Steak sandwich was average. Lovely ambience. Very attentive service. - 26 December 2011

  • One of the best pub burgers I have had in a long time. A great selection of draft beers. Just off the beaten path, so we were able to get a table at the height of the lunch rush. It's worth the effort to find it. - 20 January 2012

  • british pub with decent selection of beer on tap and in bottles. Food is better than average pub food and the daily specials in the evening make this a reasonable place to visit regularly. Very good service, nice comfortable atmosphere, lots of games to take to your table if you're into that, welcoming, very good patio in the summer. Nice place to hang out and relax overall. Closes earlier than most pubs, especially on Sunday and holidays. Also, good brund on the weekend. - 11 January 2012

  • Typical pub experience for lunch. The menu caters for a range of diverse tastes and the prices are reasonable. Service was fine even though it was pretty crowded for lunch. I had the chicken korma which was unusual in that it was your standard Indian dish but served with fried rice. They even provided chopsticks. The food is perfectly acceptable but nothing exceptional. If we lived in the area we would visit the place periodically. - 8 October 2014

  • Judging by the other reviews, people seem to have somewhat inconsistent experiences here... I think they're burgers are awesome and go whenever I'm in Toronto. They're seasoned just right and use a blend of meats, resulting in a flavorful, juicy burger. The pub has a broad selection of beers, so if you need one to go with your burger, odds are you'll find a good one here! - 10 July 2012

  • I was not impressed the food seemed too plain , nothing special, and the waiter didn't seem enthusiastic whatsoever.

  • We enjoyed our meal there and the brews were ice cold and of high quality. Even enjoyed the promotional beer sampling they had going on that night. Good selection of TV sets to watch various sporting events, but not as many as you might find in an exclusive sports bar. Only beef? It was jam-packed to the point where servers had a hard time getting around tables and I was bumped into a couple of times -- but that obviously meant that we were far from the only ones who enjoyed being there that night. Better full than empty - 2 October 2012

  • Popped in with some old friends. Very friendly service but relatively small menu and the waitress didn't go through the specials, we only saw them on the way out!! Good selection of beer, not the usual NA rubbish. The food was tyopical pub stuff, although the burger I had was above average and they serve massive helpings of french fries!! probably won't return as there are so many choices around there.

  • First time going here on a Wednesday night for dinner. I guess we were lucky and chose a good day to go as it was 3lbs wings night. It's crazy but for four people that was finished without any problems and you get to choose two different types of flavours for the wings. On top of the 3lb wings, we also ordered some bangers and a burger. The bangers were done to perfection and the burger was one of the best burgers that I have had. Considering that this pub is located in Downtown, I was really surprised at the prices on the menu. I was expecting it was going to be a lot more expensive. The waiters were very friendly and very quick in making sure that we were all good, however the kitchen was a bit slow in pushing out the food. Overall, it was great and will probably go back! - 21 July 2013

  • I've been to the Bishop a few times over the years when I'm in the area on business. Most recently, I visited with two colleagues for lunch. Overall, I'd say that it's pretty middle of the road. Neither outstanding nor terrible. I'd say that the service needs improving on the whole. When they're busy at lunch, you tend to get forgotten. Drink refills are generally slow, and need to be asked for. The food is pretty good. I had the fish and chips, and the one-piece was wholly adequate. The fries were fresh cut and delicious. I like my peas mushy. These were much too firm for my liking. I find that the Bishop needs a thorough cleaning. If you look closely, you'll see a level of grime about the place. The tables are cleaned and the obvious spots, but that seems to be it. If I were the owners, I'd bring in a crew and give the place a good scrub. I'll likely go back again, if in the area. - 22 January 2013

  • We went here for the first time yesterday for lunch and found ourselves back today for Brunch. First off this is family friendly estaurant with a Pub feel and a kids meal. Great atmosphere in here! The brunch is new and WOW! Fresh ingredients and amazing list of brunch items AND they are one of the only brunch places in the area who open at 1000 am! We had the English Breakfast which was outstanding and also had their Breakfast Burrito which I recommend ++++ (a must try!). Fresh flavours burst out of every bite! It is impossible to find another breakfast at yonge and bloor on the weekends. For lunch last night we has the BEST garlic bread with cheese and bacon (gor anyone growing up in northern ontario a real staple). WOW WOW WOW! Again fresh ingredients really made a difference here from the beautiful bread, garlic and cheese bacon - a must try! I haven't had anything that good around here. The burgers are made in house and burst with Flavours and juicy! The chicken fingers were obviously fresh and the hot sauce had amaxing flavour!! Ask for their hot sauce - you will not be disappointed! Their Manitoulin hot sauce selections are out of this world and go great with their flavourful food! We will be regulars here with our daughter! A must try in this area! You won't be disappointed! - 11 January 2015

  • I visited this bar on a Friday eve around 6:30 pm for drinks and it was crammed full of people - despite being quite large. I managed to get a seat. Great drinks selection, plenty of beers on tap and large menu. Staff were friendly and engaging, service was quick, price was reasonable. I would definitely go back again. - 14 September 2014

  • This place has quickly become my 'local' even though I'm not really a huge pub person my significant other is. Great happy hour special (wine & beer) and great nightly food specials. I quite enjoy their nachos, the chubby chicken burrito and really liked their sticky cashew chicken dish. The staff is very friendly and service is prompt. Comfortable chill place to enjoy happy hour! - 4 March 2015
